Tool Version 2.0 - Release 07/02/2009:

Without registration code, SPICE 1-2-1 automatically starts in demo mode. In demo mode you can not store your assessment ratings.
If you purchase SPICE 1-2-1, you will receive an activation code which enables you to switch the demo version to a full version. For the activation to proceed, you need an Internet connection. After activation, the tool operates also without Internet connection.

The download consists of one .msi file (Microsoft Installer Service):

If your Internet connection suppresses the download of .msi files, then you can also get the setup packed inside a ZIP-file.

.NET 2.0 Redistributable:

The software is based upon the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0. Setup checks whether the Framework is already installed. You can download the .NET 2.0 redistributable setup from the Microsoft homepage. For the installation, you need administrator's privileges on your computer. After installation, you need to reboot.

If you already have the .NET 2.0 Framework installed on your PC, then you don't need administrator's privileges for the installation.
